Wabash Institute Classes
Typically Institute courses will meet one night a week over a seven week period. Classes will be taught by pastors and trained professionals. The Wabash Institute is in the early stages of development, but eventually it is our hope to offer courses at three strategic locations in the conference so that most churches can participate.
The Wabash Institute Curriculum
Those interested in receiving a Certificate of Completed Studies may complete all required courses over two years by attending classes one night a week for seven week periods. (One course will be offered on Saturdays). Five evening courses will be offered, for a total of 35 weeks a year. Each student would be required to take the following eleven classes:

1. How to Study the Bible
2. Understanding the OT
3. Understanding the NT
Theology
4. The Doctrines of Our Faith
5. Wesley’s Theology for Today
History
6. Free Methodist History and Polity
Practical
7. Caring for People
8. Evangelism
9. Dynamics of Spiritual Growth
10. Personal Finances/
Marriage and Family
11. Leadership
Additional electives in specific areas of ministry will be offered occasionally.
Please note: You may take advantage of the Wabash Institute by taking any course. You do not have to take all courses or work towards a Certificate of Completion.
